Education is at the core of who I am. Having personally navigated challenges and overcome obstacles in my own learning journey, particularly as an English as a second language (ESL) learner. I am deeply committed to leveraging research-informed methodologies to enhance learning, teaching and assessment. My mission is to make education more accessible and impactful for every learner.

Research
My research focuses on using emerging technologies such as XR and AI technologies for language assessment, language learning and beyond, exploring innovative, valid and reliable methods of assessment and scaffolding learning in ways that traditional approaches have found challenging or impossible.
Teaching
My passion for teaching stems from my philosophy of sharing learning resources without the constraints of boundaries while maintaining the highest standards of quality—a philosophy deeply embedded in my teaching practices. Over the years, I have embraced the evolving landscape of education by utilizing science-informed methodologies and appropriately integrating technology.
